The Honduran Lempira, can be withdrawn from many local ATM machines.
The US Dollar is widely accepted throughout the island of Roatan but due to financial restrictions, US currency must be in good form and not damaged in any way to be accepted.
Gratuities are not included and we leave this decision to you to determine the amount. We hope after your experience with our team you feel they are deserving based on the service they have provided to earn your gratitude for a tip. We thank you in advance for taking care of our team.

You can get to Roatan via most U.S Cities by air with American, Delta, and United Airlines. The Roatan Tourism site provides the major airlines' seasonal flight schedules and the airport code for Roatan is RTB.
Roatan serves as a port for many cruise ships including, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity, and many more.
The average weather in Roatan is around 85 degrees with a tropical climate and many days a nice tropical breeze. We do experience a change in climate referred to as the rainy season during the month of October to February, but that doesn't stop holiday travel!
It is recommended to wear reef-safe bug spray and sunscreen while visiting the island.
Most Island agencies use What's App or Facebook for communication, you can download the What's App application on your smartphone. Some US cell services do work on the island and it suggested you check before arriving.
It is advised to carry a government-issued ID at all times while traveling.
